TechnoWind Wireless “Blue Air”

Simulator of natural ventilation to control environmental heat

Limited Series of a max. of 100 Units earmarked for scientific research funding

How the “Blue Air TechnoWind Wireless” limited series came to be

Scientific research in Italy has always unaccountably suffered from a lack of adequate forms of financial support. Neglecting philanthropic sources, funds are always difficult to obtain when, disregarding, it is attempted to cater for these needs in scientific development plans that also take into account the social and economic problems of the patients that are the primary beneficiaries of this research.
Delta Research & Development, in its funding activity, has therefore decided to consign to anyone wishing to support it privately by means of a donation of a value equal to or greater than the established threshold, an exclusive high-tech object of use for psychophysical well-being and having an added value linked to the advancement and consolidation of internal research.
This added value makes the donation similar to other forms of investment, such as that in works of art, the value of which increases over time.

TechnoWind is not a fan

The majority of those exposed to high temperatures in open and shady environments, in the presence of adequate natural air flows, show no signs of psychophysical stress due to the heat and can apparently remain in these conditions for many hours without experiencing any problems due to fatigue. This phenomenon has been related to the specific way in which natural ventilation can disperse excess heat without the need to produce significant thermal differentials as occurs in the case of air conditioning or strong air currents with little or no dynamic modulation, as in the case of fans, or subject to random dynamics if associated with randomized control.
A study carried out in seaside, country and hillside environments, with continuous exposure of subjects displaying a particular sensitivity to climate (4 to 7 hours in a row), has allowed identification of which wind types present in nature are the best suited to guaranteeing an adequate feeling of psychophysical well-being under very hot and humid conditions in both young and elderly subjects. The study involved persons who were sensitive to heat, with low tolerance of artificial ventilation or air conditioning systems.
On the basis of the results of this analysis, a device was developed for the extremely realistic simulation of natural wind flows that had unanimously been found the most pleasant and effective for the proposed aim. The device was therefore implemented materially through the development of the original technology TechnoWind, covered by two patents.
The most significant difference compared with other wind simulation patents is that the others were developed to solve problems other than biological problems, for instance, those of wind tunnels for aerodynamic testing. In other cases, the concept of realistic simulation is quite arbitrary and has not been demonstrated scientifically and experimentally as it is not enough just to move the air to obtain these results and obtain a cenesthetic effect (that is, on our physiological feeling of well-being). Otherwise, even a simple fan would be enough, while this is not the case in reality.
TechnoWind technology was tested on the same subjects as were used in the preliminary analysis phase. The response of the group subjected for hours to natural wind simulation in closed environments at temperatures > = 30 °C and percentage humidity of 70-80% demonstrated the absence of visible sweating and psychophysical stress due to heat even when accompanied by working activities requiring a high degree of mental concentration. The experiment also revealed total and full tolerance of prolonged exposure to the simulator, which was defined as extremely pleasant and wholly similar to natural ventilation.

“Blue Air” TechnoWind Wireless technology

The core of the TechnoWind system consists of a matrix of 15 fans. The speed of each fan is controlled dynamically by a computer system capable of generating billions of different air flows which are constantly selected and dynamically assembled according to characteristics of coherence and structural compatibility with the type of wind flow preferred by the user, and which consequently ensure the desired comfort and efficacy. When in use each fan is illuminated by a blue light, the intensity of which varies with the air flows, creating pleasant and relaxing light effects. The system is controlled by wireless or locally.
The wireless control center, as well as allowing remote control of the device’s various functions, allows 4 different wind types to be selected (calm-breeze-moderate-strong), plus a personalizable mode that the user can create by combining at will the characteristics of two or more of the 4 basic wind types. A single transmitter has the capacity to control and synchronize by radio within a radius of 40/60 metres any number of additional ventilation units that may be used to increase the area covered by the air flows. The additional units may be located in the same room or in different rooms or on different floors.
The device may be automatically switched on and off at user-defined times, even in the hours of the morning following the day it is first switched on thanks to an appropriate accurate timer triggered by the wireless network, which can also memorize the preferences for the desired type of ventilation.
The TechnoWind system is covered by two patents, one intrinsic to the technology as a whole; the other, more specific, patent covers the multiple probabilistic filter that forms the heart of the wind simulator. Currently, it is the only realistic wind simulation system that can produce concrete effects of psychophysical well-being and is capable of ensuring a heat tolerance in sensitive subjects that would be inconceivable using conventional ventilation systems. It also ensures low energy consumption and respect for the environment.
Delta Research & Development, scientific research in the new millennium

Delta Research & Development is a medical bioengineering research center that originated from an individual research project begun in 1983 by Giuseppe Marineo, a researcher and bioengineer. The Centre was set up in May 1998 and represents the mature phase of this individual research. The origins of this individual research were maintained while at the same time the Centre became a logistical structure capable of satisfying the new phases of development, of maintaining and boosting relations with the international scientific community, as well as becoming part of the public structures thanks to the prestigious recognition of the Tor Vergata University of Rome. A convention stipulated with the latter recognizes Delta Research & Development as part of it at the scientific level, at the same time respecting its autonomy and individuality. The theoretical and medical research work carried on in recent years has led to the awarding of prizes and numerous other acknowledgments from the international scientific community

Certification and added value

The guaranteed added value is expressed by two fundamental features of the device. The first is that the limited number of pieces, all certified, starts from a special series of a maximum of 99 units from zero on, which will never again be reproduced with the same technological, aesthetic and material characteristics. The second feature is the autograph signature of the research and technology developed to create TechnoWind, a signature corresponding to the actual author of the official medical research that is revolutionizing official medicine, obtaining the widespread approval of the international scientific community elite. This limited series has the same intellectual and structural genesis and the value of this device, like a work of art, will inevitably increase in time as the research of Delta Research & Development is consolidated.
