It was possible to develop a technology capable of translating the theoretical concept of variation in entropy into an active principle by designing and building a family of ad hoc bioengineering systems. The specific systems developed for the treatment of the pathologies forming the object of the basic research have been given the name of Delta-S (xx) Systems. Regardless of its actual field of application, the basic Delta-S system is composed of a sophisticated dedicated parallel architecture computer controlled by an expert system which has the task of constructing, instant by instant, the energy forms required in order to achieve a high selectivity vis-à-vis the desired biological target, to evaluate the safety parameters, by means of suitable electromagnetic fields in a feedback loop with the biological system being treated (self-guidance) in order to introduce the energy required with a suitable information content so as to achieve the desired biocompatibility within the process with which it is desired to interact. In order to understand how entropy can be modified by manipulating the energy, we must briefly run over the basic thermodynamic concepts of interest to the present treatment, which are presented on this site.
There is no doubt that the capacity for "interactive dialogue" of the system developed, as well as being an essential condition for obtaining the desired variation in entropy, counts as the most revolutionary technological aspect in this research field which, in its theoretical as well as biological and technological content, represents its own point of origin.
